Shardad Rohani , Composer/conductor/Violinist and Pianist has earned worldwide recognition for his pivotal role as conductor/arranger for the multi platinum CD/Video “Yanni Live at the Acropolis”. This concert with the London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra was acclaimed by critics and audiences alike and became the most widely viewed program ever shown on public television in the United States .
Born into musical family in Teheran , Iran , Shardad graduated from the Teheran Conservatory. He continued his education at the Academy of Music in Vienna , Austria , and later attended the film-scoring program at UCLA.
Shardad has worked on several film music projects both in Europe and the United States . He is the recipient of many important scholarships and awards, including the AKM Scholarship, Vienna , Austria , and the ASCAP Scholarship, Los Angeles . He was commissioned to write the score for the opening ceremonies for the Asian Olympic Games held in Thailand and he performed live for the Thai Royal Family and assembled guests and was enthusiastically witnessed by millions of people around the world. Currently, Shardad spends his summers in Tehran , educating and conducting the 140 members Tehran Symphony Orchestra.
